educoin - the digital currency of learning

Imagine having a wallet, call it eduwallet, on a public ledger where your learning is recorded in multiples of  'one hour learning record' called edublock . The ledger is powered by blockchain, same technology that powers bitcoin. Then, what would be the equivalent of bitcoin in the education space? Let us call it educoin – a collection of karma i.e. individual learning experiences, where every learning-experience is a karma . The public ledger with edublocks will enable everyone to receive credit from anyone. Similar to bitcoin, this will be beyond the boundaries of institutions, schools and universities. So, the formal learning institutions will, sooner or later, embrace the technology and will need to adapt to the new emerging models. All learning will become recordable and measurable in the public domain. Educoin will radically decentralize education and make it more transparent and learner centric. As we see with bitcoin, there is no central authority, no goverment, ...

Live your true purpose

Do you want to discover your true purpose of life? Believe it or not, the ultimate purpose is same for everyone. It is to consciously connect with your higher Self eternally. Rest everything is all about discovering what you are tuned to do in this life to achieve that goal. If you do not agree, that is also fine. It is just that you have chosen different goals for different life times that you believe you can achieve to connect with your true Self. Somewhere in your unconscious, you know the purpose you are meant to fulfill. You may not be aware consciously though. Your actions are headed in that same direction anyway. You may call certain situations as distractions. They are just decision points to choose your next step. And then, prioritize the chosen step. It's a journey. You have already reached the path and moving on. You chose something with your free will and you are treading the path. Did you realize this before? You are living life that you wanted to. What next after 'hole-in-the-wall' experiment?

Hole-in-the-wall experiment was great and brought forth some interesting observations. Children can learn on their own if they have right tools and environment available to them. They can learn from one another and can teach themselves too. The experiment was performed by placing a computer through a hole in a wall facing the slum. This was something new for them and caught their imagination. They did not have access to computers, forget internet, did not have choice except to go for this computer that had some educational content. They interacted with the computer and learned. After seeing encouraging results from these children, idea of “self-organized learning environment” (SOLE) emerged. Stories of human nature mixed with machines are interesting. But, humans have been evolvig and kids learn from one another anyway.  Earlier, children used to play with marbles, business games, etc. Now, with computers. There is other category of kids who have so many devices in their home...

Pollution is not a battle but a war to win

Image
Odd-even is a move in right direction at least. Acknowledge it. People and political parties should find ways to make it successful instead of complaining it is not giving any results. It is ridiculous that some are openly opposing, it shows only mental bankruptcy, nothing else. And, there is another category. Have you lost your mind when you are saying that odd-even has forced people to buy two cars. This is because you have not been sensitive about the problem from day one. And, you may be the main culprit with unnecessary drives to increase pollution. Looks like your only intention is to break the system and then crib that the system does not work. Why can you not think about the person just behind you on a two wheeler? What is your problem - little inconvenience or pollution? There are people who fight for country and give their lives. Here are you crying like a child. If you have so much money that to break the system and increase pollution you can buy two-three-four ...

Start the Life You Were Born to Live

Live the purpose,  you were born to live. Yes, it is important to do it now. What was your own expectation from your own life when you plunged to take this birth? To be happy, be successful at anything, it is very important to understand why you are doing something in the first place? It has to be in line with your aspiration. To know and live the purpose of your life,  ask yourself and answer these three questions. Ask them daily till your mind settles with the answer. Who am I? ________________________________ Full name ,  Gender ,  Region  are not important for this matter. What are your values? Who are you as a person? Who you want to be? What is your aspiration? Become an expert at understanding yourself and the (spiritual) Self. Only you can be an expert at your-self. Exemplify yourself with the next question. Am I reaching my highest potential? _____________________ What do you do? Does it bring joy to you? Are you good at that? Are you ...
