Trance: The Language for Humanity, With Love and Thanks to All Languages

Introduction


Here I introduce an underrated new language to the world - Trance. And urge to use it officially.

Many of us use English alphabets to type the words from our native language. Most popular use case is chatting and texting. So, are you not already using Trance? Consider this example -

English: Hello!
Hindi: नमस्ते!
Trance: Namaste!

Don't you feel a kind of trance when you know that everyone on the planet understands you? This is the goal of Trance. Let us standardize it. Let us use it in formal communication and bring it to main stream.

Why a new name?


To convey the concept.

Trance derives its name from Transliteration. This is the technology behind the success of Trance. Trance makes use of both - Transliteration and Reverse-Transliteration, supported by Translation as per need. Now, you get the idea. Does Transliteration not exist already? Have you not been using it already? It has already existed for ages. You have used it from various dictionaries. It is just that everyone caught apple when it fell from the tree but only Newton thought about it. We are just throwing the apple back in the sky to share with others with the help of Reverse Transliteration.

Short is another keyword here, short learning curve. You already know and love some languages. For example - if you are reading a book that has English and Sanskrit text, you may already know both the languages, Trance has the potential to make it more meaningful for you. Trance makes it useful for others who know only one of the languages. Just start accepting, that is it.

How does it work?


Every language, together, constitutes  Trance. Every other language makes the foundation of Trance. It is not something new but it is an approach towards what we already have. It is a collection of dialects and languages on the planet.

Using Trance, everyone gets the benefit of being understood by the same framework except for the parts that may be new for the other person. That issue occurs within any single language anyway.

How do we use best of every language that exists on the planet? 


Here is an example considering English as example. 
  • Alphabets from English
  • Grammar from English
    I don't see a way how grammar can be separated from the language whose alphabets are chosen for Trance. Just making the point that the grammar has to be from the same language whose alphabets are chosen. This is how I see it as of now. Who knows, a new form of grammar will emerge with Trance over time.
  • Use words from other languages along with their etymology, usage and grammar
  • Use Reverse Transliteration. Unicode Transliteration Guidelines are already in place. 
  • Phonetics remain same. Difference in accent is not a major concern here as that happens on the basis of geography not the language itself.
Why I choose English over other languages? Simply because English has the highest number of non-native users already. While Chinese is the most spoken language today as I write today, it is the number of native speakers that makes it most used language.

Lofty goals (as they seem today)


Allow the languages (within same paragraph) to mix with and without their own alphabets, words, sentences and grammar. In the case of print, include glossary of terms from all languages used in the work. On computer, additional text can be provided readily or with some user interaction. Idea is to provide both transliterated / reverse-transliterated text.

Why I choose English as the starting point for Trance?


English adopts words from other languages. Most of us are doing it already. If you prefer some other language instead of English, compete with adoption, not with English. Increase the adoption of native language by adopting the words from other languages. This is how the language becomes rich over time. Or, increase the use of the words from native language in English. So, your love for all other languages continues for the qualities that they all possess. It also means that people from different languages will be able to understand each other better.

My personal preference would be Sanskrit but that still remains personal. To increase its adoption, Sanskrit speaking guys! If you are reading this, request you to increase adoption. Sanskrit has so many unique benefits to offer.  Largely, this is true for any other language that wants to increase its reach and provide its benefits to other people.

Why I prefer transliteration over translation?


Transliteration allows the originality and continuity of rhythmic beauty of the original content. Yes, I agree that translation is very important to learn the original concepts as well. Both go hand in hand.

Moreover, transliteration adds a new word to the language. Remember, a new word is a new concept, a new idea.

How to cure or prevent arthritis on your own?

Practice yoga or do some gentle exercises. Change your diet.
